School Librarian

Sandhurst School is seeking to appoint a well-qualified and experienced librarian to help instil a love of reading and to develop an efficient, popular, well-resourced school library.

The library is in constant use throughout the day. The successful candidate will be able to build positive relationships with both staff and students and manage the learning environment and resources.

With responsibility to manage the school library and library resources, you will work with students to enthuse and engage their learning.

You will be pivotal in supporting the school in building a strong reading culture throughout and will be an active champion of literacy across the school. You will also play a key role in our reading interventions that support struggling readers.  We are keen to see how the library can feature as part of ‘learning beyond the classroom’ through links with local authors, booksellers and other organisations.
