Finance & Administration Officer

We are currently looking to recruit a Finance and Office Assistant. This is a permanent, flexible term-time only post. The post will require you to work 16 hours a week and hours can be worked over 3 or 4 days.

Working days and hours can be discussed to meet the individual needs of both the successful applicant and the school, although these are all onsite as home working cannot be offered for this role.

Some of the possible options to consider:

3 days  - Tue – Wed 9.30 am – 2.30 pm & Thurs 9.00am – 3.00pm,

4 days  - Mon – Thurs 10 am– 2 pm (or 10.30 am to 2.30 pm)

4 days  - Tue – Fri 10 am – 2 p.m (or 10.30 am to 2.30 pm)

Please be mindful that in any scenario of hours the school would require Thursday to be one of your working days due to other staff working patterns.

We are seeking to appoint a well-organised, efficient, flexible and motivated individual with integrity in the role of Finance and Office Assistant to start at the beginning of February 2025.

Reporting to the School Business Manager, your main duties will include ordering, invoice payment, monitoring stock and managing deliveries.  You will also be required to support the admin team when needed with answering the phone, taking messages and assisting with visitors to main reception. The candidate must have a successful proven track record of working with Word and Excel. A sound financial background is essential with knowledge of FMS and SIMs being desirable. (Training will be provided on appointment if necessary.) The successful candidate will also be able to demonstrate excellent literacy and numeracy skills together with the ability to multi-task and meet challenging deadlines.
