Bush craft / outdoor learning leader

We have an exciting opportunity for a part-time Bushcraft & Allotment Leader to join our team, delivering engaging outdoor learning sessions during the school day and running after-school clubs.

Winkfield St Mary's CofE Primary School is a warm and welcoming single-form entry primary school with an inclusive, caring ethos. We are committed to providing enriching experiences that connect children with nature, support wellbeing, and develop practical life skills.

As Bushcraft & Allotment Leader, you will:

  • Plan and deliver structured, safe, and engaging bushcraft and allotment-based learning sessions for small groups of children aged 4–11
  • Lead outdoor activities such as shelter building, nature exploration, tool-based tasks, and seasonal planting, growing, and harvesting in the school allotment
  • Encourage environmental awareness, healthy eating, and sustainable practices through hands-on gardening and outdoor learning
  • Ensure all activities meet health & safety, legislative, and safeguarding requirements
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive outdoor learning environment

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience delivering outdoor learning, bushcraft, or gardening/allotment activities with children
  • Enjoys working in a child-centred, values-led school environment
  • Is a team player who can also work independently
  • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of all pupils

Working hours:
12:30pm – 4:30pm, 2 days per week, term time only
(Attendance at training on INSET days may be required)
